My Favourites

Overview

Use this function to view the details of all the Learning items you have completed and items you have added to the My Favourites list.  You can also open, organise or request approval to attend a Course on the list.

You can add Learning items to the My Favourites list via the My Learning Path, Learning and Development Guide and Online Learning functions.

 

To View the Learning Items in the Learning History:

  1. On the left side of the screen, click the My Favourites button.  The My Favourites screen appears displaying details of all the Learning Items, organised in Sections.

  2. To view the full details of the Learning items in a particular Section, click the Expand button next to the Section Name.  The following Learning item details are displayed for the Section.

  • Name

The name of the Learning item.

  • Status

The status of the Learning item.  The status is indicated by an icon:

§ Active

§ Awaiting Approval

§ Near Expiry

§ Approval Denied

§ Expired

§ Needs Approval

Run your mouse-pointer over the icon to display the Status description.

  • Last Accessed

The time and date on which you last accessed the Learning item.

  • Target Date

The date by which the Learning item must be completed.

  • Duration

The amount of time required to complete the Learning item.

  • Progress

Progress for a particular item is indicated by an icon:

§ Knowledge Bank Item

A indicates that you have previously viewed a Knowledge Bank item.

§ Acumen Module

A is a graphical representation of how far through an Acumen Module you have progressed.

§ Online Learning Course

A indicates that you have completed an Online Learning Course.

  • Score

The exam score you have attained for a completed Learning item.

  • Time Spent

The total time you have spent so far on the Learning item if you have previously opened it.

  • Type

The type of Learning item.  The Type is indicated by an icon:

§ Internal Course

§ External Course

§ Assessment

§ Appraisal

§ Survey

§ Test

§ Online Learning Courses

§ Learning Materials

The icon for Learning Material varies depending on the format of the file.  For example, .HTM (web page), .DOC (MSWord file), .XLS (MSExcel spreadsheet), .PPT (MSPowerPoint slideshow), .PDF (Adobe document file) etc.

Run your mouse-pointer over the icon to display the Type description.

  • View Certificate

If you have completed an Acumen Module, click the View Certificate button .  The course certificate awarded to you is displayed in the pop-up Acumen Certificate window.

You can also view the contents of all Sections in the My Favourites list by clicking the Expand All check box at the top right side of the screen.

 

To Sort/Filter the List of Learning Items:

You can sort/filter the list of Learning items in the following ways:

 

Filter by Type

From the drop-down menu of the Type field on the top right side of the screen, select the Type of Learning item that you want to view, or leave the default selection as All if you want to view all the Learning items in the My Favourites list, regardless of Type.

 

Filter by Progress Status

Click the appropriate Filter selection button on the left side of the screen to filter the list of Learning items according to the level of progress that you have achieved (Not Started, In Progress or Completed) or leave the default selection as Show All if you want to view all the Learning items, regardless of their status of completion.

 

To Work with Learning Items:

You can use the following functions to work with Learning items.

 

Open a Knowledge Bank Item

Locate the Knowledge Bank Item that you want to view and click the Name.  The Knowledge Bank item is displayed in a pop-up window.

 

Open an Evaluation

Locate the Evaluation that you want to open and click the Name.  The Assessment or Evaluation opens for you to complete.

 

Register for a Course

Use this function to register your interest in a Course.

  • Locate the Internal or External Course that you want to take and click the Name.  The Course Viewer screen appears.

  • If you want to send a message to the Manager who is to approve your registration, enter the details in the Message field.

  • Click the Submit button to register for the Course.  Your registration request, and optional message, are sent to the Manager.  A pop-up window appears displaying the message Thank you for your request this will be Learning & Development.

You can also register for a Course via the Learning and Development Guide screen or the Calendar.

 

Organise My Favourites

Click the Organise My Favourites hyperlink to organise the Sections in the My Favourites list, add Courses to Sections, set the sequence of Courses within a Section and remove Course names that you are no longer interested in.
