The Learning Path is a personalised, structured list of Learning items you are scheduled to complete and is set by your Manager.  It provides an easy to manage structure to your training and also allows you to access a large number of online Modules and Courses.  Learning items available in the Learning Path can consist of the following five types:

  • Acumen Modules

Acumen Modules are courses that are provided and maintained solely by ACF Consultants Ltd.  Access to these courses depends on the agreement between your organisation and ACF Consultants Ltd.

  • Courses

Courses are the internal or external classroom training courses that are available for you to attend.

  • Assessments

Assessments are the means by which your performance is assessed.  These consist of Evaluations that are composed of Questions.  There are six types of Evaluation:

§ Assessment

An examination where existing knowledge is tested.  Blank responses are marked as blank.  After the Assessment is completed, the Acumen system displays a recommendation, depending upon your overall score or response to specific questions.

§ Appraisal

A collection of Questions enabling you to rate the nature or value of something, such as an Online Learning Module, a trainer or a seminar.

§ Exam

A formal exam under timed conditions.  Blank responses are marked as incorrect.

§ Interactive Case

A cross between an Examination and a Survey.  Questions are presented to you on one per page.  The logical flow of pages in the Interactive Case varies according to the response you provide to each Question.

§ Survey

A collection of Questions designed to obtain your opinion of a subject.  The logical flow of the Survey varies according to the responses you provide.

§ Test

An un-timed exam.  Blank responses are marked as incorrect.

  • Online Learning Courses

Online Learning Courses are the online courses available to you that have been added by your organisation.  These are distinct from the Acumen Modules that are owned and maintained solely by ACF Consultants Ltd.  Courses can consist of Modules, which can be organised collectively under Volumes.

  • Learning Materials

Learning Materials are items in the Knowledge Bank that are intended to aid your learning process by providing you with supplementary information to the classroom and Online Courses.
